Dunfermline vs Partick Thistle in doubt as pitch inspection is called
Partick Thistle look set to be dealt another postponement blow after a pitch inspection was ordered ahead of tonight’s game at Dunfermline.
The Jags have already played three games less than most of their Scottish Championship promotion rivals after a raft of call-offs.
And their trip to East End Park now looks likely to add to their backlog of fixtures following the wintry weather sweeping the country.
A pitch inspection has been arranged for 1pm and SPFL bosses are eager to give the televised clash as much of a chance as possible of going ahead.
But parts of East End Park are already waterlogged, with snow, sleet and rain forecast to continue until 5pm this evening.
Partick Thistle lie fifth in the table, eight points fewer than league leaders Abroath.
Dunfermline, meanwhile, are second bottom with manager John Hughes desperate to get some momentum going.
