Dundee United AGM hit with fierce Tony Asghar OUT protest as fed-up punters demand change

Vexed Dundee United supporters have hit out ahead of the club's AGM and told beleaguered sporting director Tony Asghar it's time to go.

The Tannadice side sit bottom of the Scottish Premiership table and face a relegation dogfight with 12 league games remaining and diehards let those in power know about it. Asghar has previously been targeted with banners with concerned punters fearful with the club in a perilous position.

Current boss Liam Fox is aiming to pull United clear of danger but it's been a rotten run of results with five defeats in their last six league matches. Fox stepped up into the top job after Jack Ross paid with his position after only two months at the helm in the wake of their 9-0 trouncing at the hands of a rampant Celtic side.

But frustrations have been visible for some time and those concerns were loudly voiced on Tuesday morning outside the club's stadium as they let those in charge have it.

Fox and his players will be aiming to change the mood music with a mammoth clash with Ross County in Dingwall on Saturday. The Staggies are only one point ahead of United at the bottom of the table and the result in the Highlands could prove pivotal for both in the battle to survive.
