Ducati ‘aiming for the MotoGP title’ and ready to paint the season red

Ducati Lenovo officially launched its 20th MotoGP campaign on Monday, celebrating the ‘unbreakable bonds’ of the Italian marque’s successful history.

With the Desmosedici GP22s ablaze in traditional ‘Ducati red’ for the first time in its world championship career, Pecco Bagnaia and Jack Miller spoke of the support within the factory outfit which allowed them to secure second and fourth in the world championship, alongside the team and manufacturers titles in 2021, with both striving for more this time around.

“We live together as a family” Ducati Corse Sporting Director, Paolo Ciabatti confirmed from the launch. “We enjoy success and we try to support each other’s when there is a failure.”

“I grew up with the idea and the desire that one day I would become a rider,” Bagnaia said. “This is my second year with the factory team. I’ve always been driven by that desire and its always given me that push to get there one day. A fundamental thing for me is to arrive at the pits and feel a relaxed atmosphere. I need to have a strong bond with the people I work with. We joke, we have fun but when it’s time to get serious we get down to work and we make it perfect. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”

“In my opinion Ducati, the way that they put the team together, I think they show a lot of love and you can tell there’s a lot of support there,” Miller added.
