Dual carriageway shut as emergency services tackle tractor fire on key route - live updates

A busy main road in Carmarthenshire is currently shut due to a vehicle fire.

Police and fire crews are in attendance on the A48 between Cross Hands Roundabout and Pensarn Roundabout in Carmarthen.

They were called to the scene shortly before 2pm on Friday afternoon because a tractor has caught fire between the Llanddarog junction and Carmarthen.

Police say the road is closed in the eastbound direction and have asked motorists to find alternative routes.
