Dual carriageway shut after reports of 'unexploded bomb' found

The A465 from Resolven to Aberdulais is closed in both directions due to the discovery of an unexploded ordnance in the area, South Wales Police has confirmed. Live updates: Road closed due to unexploded ordnance.

South Wales Police used the hashtag #AVOIDTHEAREA and said in a statement: "Both roads will be closed for the next few hours. We would like to thank members of the public for their help in this matter and apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Traffic reporting service Inrix said: "A465 in both directions closed due to police incident from A4230 Main Road (Aberdulais Roundabout, Aberdulais) to B4434 Commercial Road (Resolven Roundabout, Resolven). Traffic is coping well."
