Dua Lipa hailed 'queen of pop' by fans in new Dance The Night music video for Barbie soundtrack

Dua Lipa has been praised after releasing a new single and music video for the Barbie film soundtrack. Titled Dance The Night, the upbeat pop track has been acclaimed 'song of the summer' by fans.

It's the first single the star has put out in a year and is within keeping of the sound of her 2020 album Future Nostalgia, which spent 4 weeks at the top of the UK albums chart. It was announced last month that Dua would be making her acting debut as Mermaid Barbie in the Greta Gerwig blockbuster, slated for release on July 21.

Scenes include Dua dancing in various locations, including on a stage in front of two large eyeshadow pallets, in a dressing room as clothing rails weave around her and as she's surrounded by other dancers. She's also sat in the iconic pink Barbie car towards the end of the video.

Fans were delighted by both the song and video and quickly hailed the Brit School graduate the 'queen of pop'. @THATSALLOVERNOW wrote: "NEW DUA
