Drivers warned of delays after crash shuts Woodhead Pass
The Woodhead Pass is closed tonight following a crash.
Drivers are being warned of delays following the smash between two vehicles. A six mile stretch road between the villages of Woodhead, near Glossop and Flouch is currently closed in both directions.
Woodhead is one the major cross-Pennine routes between Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire.

National Highways tweeted: "The A628 Woodhead Pass is CLOSED in both directions between the A616 (Flough) and the A6024 (Woodhead) due to a collision involving two vehicles. Emergency services are on scene and recovery has been arranged.
"Please allow extra journey time this evening."
The National Highways website says the road is expected to reopen by 8.30pm.
