Driver 'nearly crashes' into police motorbike - then cops realise who it is
A van driver who 'nearly' crashed into a police motorbike lost their vehicle once officers realised who was behind the wheel. An officer from Greater Manchester Police's motorcycle unit was travelling through Chorlton, in south Manchester, when a collision almost took place.
According to GMP, the driver almost hit the officer's bike. The van driver was pulled over before police made a few checks on their identity.
Officers discovered that the van had previously made off from police in a separate incident. The driver had also previously had their licence revoked.

An image shared by GMP Traffic on X this morning (December 18) shows a white Peugeot Partner van with a company logo on the back, which has been obscured in the photo, stopped alongside a police bike. GMP says the van was seized following the incident while the driver was reported.
A GMP Traffic spokesperson wrote on X: "This driver nearly collided with one of #GMPMotorcycleUnit in Chorlton. Further checks revealed the driver’s licence had been revoked and the vehicle previously made off from the police. Vehicle seized and driver reported #fatal4 #165"
