"Dream Come True": J&K Para Cricketer Gets Financial Support From Adani Foundation

It's a dream come true for Kashmir's Para cricketer Amir Hussain Lone after Adani Foundation reached out with financial support to 34 year old who lost his both arms in his childhood but still pursued his passion. Amir Thanked Mr Adani for the much-needed help. The para- cricket and his mother said that they had never thought that Mr Adani would appreciate and help their family after facing hardships.

"I am thankful to Shri Gautam Adani sir as well as the Adani foundation. I have a wish to meet Gautam Adani sir, but this dream has only remained a dream so far. I am still hopeful of meeting sir," Amir told NDTV in an exclusive chat.

"I had never imagined that sir would help us. No words are enough to praise him. I hope he continues to achieve new things day and night, and stays happy always. As soon as I told my mom, she became emotional. She couldn't believe it. My family, my mother only had well wishes for Gautam Adani sir," he further said.

Early this month, Mr Adani had said that the Adani Foundation will provide Amir with every possible support in his unique journey.

The Adani Group Chairman saluted Amir's spirit of never giving up even in adverse circumstances.

Amir who is captain of J&K para cricket team says he has a dream to meet Mr Adani and hope that he will also be fulfilled. Amir says he will bow open cricket academy for local children in his Village at Waghama in Anantnag.
