Dramatic footage shows aftermath after car 'flips into garden' as person taken to hospital

A car 'flipped into a garden' in a crash in south Manchester last night.

Dramatic footage showed emergency services at the scene on Princess Road after the smash, which involved two cars, at around 10.35pm. The footage appeared to show some damaged railings at the side of the carriageway, with debris strewn over the road.

Footage also showed damage to a front wall and gate of a house. An eyewitness told the Manchester Evening News that a car 'flipped' into a front garden.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called to the scene. A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said one person was taken to hospital for treatment.

The spokesperson said in a statement: "At 10.35pm on Sunday 15 May, firefighters from Withington Fire Station were called out to a road traffic collision involving two cars on Princess Road.

"A fire engine attended the scene, as one of the vehicles was reportedly leaking fuel, and returned when the scene was made safe shortly after 11pm. One person involved in the collision was assessed by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital for further treatment."

Greater Manchester Police have also been contacted for a comment.
