Dragons v Ospreys live: Score updates

Wales lock Adam Beard has returned from injury to be named in the starting XV for the Ospreys' United Rugby Championship opener at Rodney Parade.

Beard missed Wales' summer Tests through injury but his return to fitness is a huge boost for the Ospreys who have named a strong pack for their visit to Newport. Jac Morgan - who missed much of last season through injury - captains a strong side, while Justin Tipuric, Dewi Lake, James Ratti and Gareth Thomas are part of the international contingent in the Ospreys pack.

Behind the scrum Dan Edwards starts at outside-half while Ryan Conbeer- who is only on a two-month contract- gets a chance to impress on the wing.

The Dragons have handed debuts to outside-half Lloyd Evans and No 8 Shane Lewis-Hughes, while Wales second-row Ben Carter captains the side.

The Ospreys are the strong favourites but have not won at Rodney Parade since 2021.

The game, which kicks off at 3pm, is being shown on Premier Sports 2 and you can follow live updates in our blog below.
