'Dragged Off The Street' - Dele Alli Brutally Slated For Outfit Choice At Everton Unveiling At Goodison Park

Everton’s deal for the former Spurs star could reach a hefty £40m, with the Toffees to pay the first of his £10m transfer fee after Alli reaches 20 appearances.

Alli, who inked a two-and-a-half-year deal, was wearing an Everton scarf, a grey beanie hat, blue jeans and a coat as he received a warm reception from fans.

However, Hoddle was far from impressed with the Everton new boy’s outfit and believes he should have dressed much better for the occasion.

Speaking on BT Sport, he said: “There’s a route back for him if he gets his boots back on and gets his head down.

“I didn’t like the way he walked out on the pitch with what he was wearing.

“I know Rob [Robbie Savage] wears a few things like that but we had a look at that, he’s got a new club, you should see how he’s dressed...”

Robbie Savage defended Alli from Hoddle’s criticism, with the BT Sport pundit saying that the Toffees midfielder looked “sensational.”

He added: “I thought he looked sensational, to be fair!”

Hoddle remained firm on his views and suggested the England midfielder should have put a “tracksuit on at least or something” for his Everton unveiling.

“I thought he’d just got dragged off the street, to be honest,” the BT Sport pundit continued.

“If I’m an Everton fan, you’re going to a new club. Put a tracksuit on at least or something.

“He’s got to get his head together. It’s not about Frank Lampard or Everton, he’s got to get back on the horse he’s good at, scoring goals from midfield.

“If he doesn’t do that, I don’t see anyone getting the best from him.”
