Dovizioso’s off-road ‘dream’ becomes reality

Andrea Dovizioso’s dream of creating a motocross centre of his own has come to fruition with the ‘04 Park - Monte Coralli di Faenza’.

Dovizioso has been hinting at ‘secret’ future projects since his retirement from Grand Prix racing midway through the 2022 MotoGP season but with plans underway yet not complete, he was far from forthcoming on the details.

While the Italian’s love of off-road has seen him in action at multiple MX races throughout the latter part of the year, the most recent resulting in a fractured wrist, his newest project takes things to a whole new level.

04 Park – Monte Coralli, near his home in Faenza, aims to be ‘a completely new, multifunctional facility complete with an FMI (Italian Motorcycle Federation) Technical Centre dedicated to off-road’. With Dovizioso’s company, RPM, winning the tender for a 20-year management lease of the track, and funds allocated by the Municipality of Faenza’s PNRR “Sport and Inclusion” post-Covid recovery plan, the park will be completely renovated. Sports facilities, hospitality services, as well as a new high-spec track for riders of all levels are included in the ambitious project with construction expected to start early in the new year.

“I’m glad to announce a very special project to me, 04 Park - Monte Coralli,” Dovizioso announced. “It is an incredible place in which we want to carry out important projects. It will become a park where off-road enthusiasts, and not only them, could meet, interact and share experiences while having fun. We will organise events and races. You can come to ride or simply to spend a different day, in an environment made with passion.
