Dover Athletic's home match against Notts County called OFF for a second time this season

Dover's scheduled National League game against Notts County tonight has been called off - for a second time.

Notts County announced the news, with Storm Eunice set to take hold.

The Magpies had earlier said on Twitter Dover's Crabble surface had been passed as "perfectly playable" by a qualified match official following a precautionary pitch inspection earlier in the day.

But just before 2.30pm, County said: "MATCH OFF: In lieu of this afternoon’s forecast and based on reports from the earlier pitch inspection, the match referee has postponed this evening’s match."

The fixture had initially been due to be played on Saturday, January 8, but was called off just hours before kick-off following heavy rain, with County expressing their frustration after the late postponement.

Dover visit FC Halifax this weekend.
