Donny van de Beek makes decision on Man Utd future after Ralf Rangnick's clear message

Donny van de Beek has reportedly already decided to quit Manchester United for good in the summer, after Ralf Rangnick declared that the mood at the club had improved since the Dutchman's exit.

The midfield maestro was finally rescued from his Old Trafford hell by Everton, who sealed a six-month loan swoop for the United outcast in January.

And recent reports are claiming that van de Beek may have already kicked his final ball for United.

According to The Daily Star, Van de Beek is planning to pursue a permanent move to Everton in the summer if they avoid the drop.

It's not yet clear whether United – who signed the midfielder just 18 months ago in a £35million deal from Ajax – would stand in Van de Beek's way if he does try to quit the club permanently.

His stance comes in the wake of damning comments from Rangnick – who appeared to suggest that the mood around the camp at United had improved since the January departures of van de Beek and Anthony Martial.

Martial, who was also out of favour, is currently starring for Sevilla in La Liga.

"There were players unhappy, the squad was too big," the Red Devils boss stated in his pre-match news conference ahead of United's clash with Leeds on Sunday.

"Players realised they wouldn't get game time and the atmosphere is better than it used to be a couple of weeks ago.

"Now, for us it's about performing well, showing togetherness on the pitch, winning games and those are the things we can influence."

After a frustrating spell at Old Trafford, Van de Beek completed his first 90 minutes in the Premier League for over nine months during the Toffees crucial 3-0 win over Leeds last weekend.
