Domino's poke fun at Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag with billboard outside Old Trafford

Domino’s has taken a dig at the current Manchester United manager, as pressure continues to mount on his job. The fast-food pizza restaurant chain made light of the Dutchman's circumstances by parking a van outside trafford>Old Trafford with the message ‘We’re hiring (not you, Erik)’.

The stunt comes after speculation about Erik Ten Hag's future in the Old Trafford dugout has been spreading following a run of poor results.

Despite coming out unscathed following a drab 0-0 draw against in-form Aston Villa on Sunday, Erik's job seems to be under threat following poor showing in the Europa League and even poorer showing in the Premier League last week.

Last week, United were able to fight back to a 3-3 draw against Porto midweek, having thrown a 2-0 lead to the Portuguese team and on Sunday (September 29) the team suffered a humiliating 3-0 drubbing at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

A spokesperson for Domino’s said: “Based on his performance, it can’t be too long before Ten Hag is given the sack.

“It coincides with us gearing up for our busiest time of year where we need people to join our team. We are looking for people who are results-driven... so not one for Ten Hag unfortunately.”

The 0-0 draw against Villa leaves the Red Devils languishing in 14th place in the Premier League – the club’s worst start to a season. And key decision makers at Manchester United are set to meet on Tuesday, with Ten Hag’s future hanging in the balance
