Dominant Celtic are 'a class above' anything else in Scotland according to their former captain Scott Brown.

The Premiership season is only five games in but a perfect start for the Hoops has them odds on to successfully defend their title. They've won five from five and are yet to even concede a goal in the league, with Aberdeen the only team to keep pace with them and Rangers already trailing five points back.

Brendan Rodgers' team have already beaten their Glasgow rivals and they're going to take some stopping after downing Hearts 2-0 at the weekend, through goals from new midfielders Arne Engels and Luke McCowan. Brown told Premier Sports' Scottish Football Social Club: "They've been excellent. Not conceded a goal in the league, dominating games. Brendan has always wanted to play possession-based football, and he's got a drive to make sure that every single player gets better.

"They work hard and they look after themselves. You can see its proven the case yet again. Celtic look a class above everybody else in the league. Whether they are playing Rangers or playing Hearts, they are dominating games, and that's what's exciting about watching them at this moment in time.

"The players that they have brought in will hopefully enhance the squad in the Champions League as well, because the hardest thing in football is to go from the Champions League back to the Premiership because there is a big difference. Especially how hard the lads have to work in the Champions League games."
