Dolan to stick with Westmeath for another season
Westmeath have confirmed that Dessie Dolan will remain in charge of the county's senior football side after agreeing another term with the county board.
This will be Dolan's second year at the helm in Westmeath after he took charge, succeeding Jack Cooney in September 2022.
Dolan will be hoping to see progress next campaign after a mixed first year where Westmeath were unable to secure promotion from Division 3 but did turn some heads with their perfomances in the All-Ireland SFC group stages.
A statement from the county board confirmed the news. "Westmeath GAA are delighted to announce the ratification of Dessie Dolan as manager of the Westmeath senior footballers for 2024. Backroom team to be announced."
Dolan will be hoping to retain the services of former Dublin All-Ireland winner Jason Sherlock and two-time All-Star John Keane who were both part of his staff last season.
