Do Rishi Sunak's measures go far enough?

Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced on Thursday (May 25) new measures aimed at assisting households across the country in dealing with the cost of living crisis.

The wave of new announcements are aimed at helping the households struggling the most including support payments and measures to try and tackle inflation.

Following the announcement of these measures, we want to know whether you think they go far enough in helping households deal with current crisis.

One measure will see a windfall tax imposed on oil and gas firms, the funds from which will go towards funding support for struggling households.

Roughly eight million households will receive a one-off payment of £650 in order to help with the cost of living, which will be paid in two lump sums in July and autumn by the Department of Work and Pensions.

Repayments on the £200 grant to help people with their energy bills will also be scrapped, with the grant being doubled to £400.
