"Do get that feeling" – Sky Sports reporter now drops Tottenham claim after big PL announcement

The north London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal could decide who’s playing Champions League football next season, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Antonio Conte’s side have moved into pole position in the race for fourth, but still face a crunch clash with their arch rivals next month.

It’s been quite some fortnight for Spurs, who’ve not only shaken off their inability to win consecutive Premier League games by racking up four on the bounce, but they have seen the Gunners slip up twice in to damage their own chances of returning to Europe’s elite competition.

After beating West Ham before the international break, Tottenham were three points behind Arsenal having played a game more but have taken advantage of their defeats to Crystal Palace and Brighton to move three points clear of Mikel Arteta’s side, although they do have a game in hand.

However, Arsenal have a tricky fixture list, including visits to West Ham, Chelsea and a home game against Manchester United.

The Gunners also have a trip to Tottenham which has now been scheduled for the second week of May, and Bridge believes the outcome of that fixture could prove to be the difference in the fight for top four.

When asked whether the race to finish fourth could be decided by the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next month, Bridge told GIVEMESPORT: “I do get that feeling. There seemed to be, whether it was deliberate or not, I don’t know, but there was a wait for the Tottenham-Arsenal game to get rearranged.

“It could come down to maybe the biggest north London derby in decades.”
