Dirty Dancing in Concert featuring live band to bring the 'time of your life' to Manchester

The iconic soundtrack of 80s movie Dirty Dancing will be brought to life with a live band and singers as part of an exciting tour hitting Manchester next year.

The movie, starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, was a worldwide box-office sensation when it was released in 1987. Telling the story of a young woman who falls in love with her dance instructor at a holiday resort, the film won the Oscar for Best Original Song with classic (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.

Dirty Dancing in Concert will see singers and a live band perform the film’s legendary soundtrack in sync with the movie, which will also be shown on a large screen. The event will also feature an encore party allowing fans to enjoy the film’s greatest hits once more.

As part of a 13-date tour, Dirty Dancing in Concert will arrive at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on March 22, 2024. Other stops on the tour will include Brighton, Birmingham, London, Liverpool and Edinburgh. Tickets for all dates will go on sale via Ticketmaster from Thursday (December 9).

Dirty Dancing grossed more than $214 million in box office sales worldwide upon its release. Other songs featured in the film include Patrick Swayze's She's Like the Wind, The Ronettes' Be My Baby and Hungry Eyes by Eric Carmen.
