Dimmock holds off Bouchard to take Irish Open title
Annabel Dimmock saw off Pauline Bouchard in a playoff to take the Women's Irish Open title on a final day that saw Leona Maguire shoot her lowest round of the week.
England's Dimmock carded a final-round 70 to finish on 19-under-par but she had to go to extra holes to finally see off the hard-charging Bouchard who had blitzed the O'Meara Course at Carton House in 65 strokes to almost nab the title.
Maguire's closing 68 dragged her up the leaderboard to end in a tie for 15th place on 10-under-par.
Anna Abom was the only other Irishwoman to make the cut and, although a closing 79 was her poorest round of an excellent week, she still picked up the prize for top amateur in the field.
Edmondstown's Abom ended her tournament on eight-over-par.
