In just over a month's time, India will hope to win the 2024 T20 World Cup and bring an end to their more than decade-long ICC trophy drought. They won the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007 but surprisingly have never won another since. On April 30, the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel named India's 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 which is scheduled to be played in the USA and the West Indies in June.

Eight players from India's T20 WC 2022 squad have again made the cut in this year's selections. They are Rohit, Kohli, Suryakumar, Pant, Pandya, Axar, Chahal, and Arshdeep.
