Di Maria couldn't hold back the tears as he showed 99 composure to score in final PSG game

Angel Di Maria put on a masterclass in his final Paris Saint-Germain game.

While PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with Metz on Saturday night might have been dominated by the Kylian Mbappe saga, the home fans were more than aware that it was Di Maria’s swan song in France.

Having signed for the French giants on the back of a disastrous spell at Manchester United, the Argentine baller has come to love the ‘City of Light’ as his second home for seven years.

However, all good things come to an end and Di Maria is waving goodbye to the Parc des Princes upon the expiration of his contract with a reported move to Juventus on the cards.

And the 34-year-old left the perfect performance for PSG fans to remember him by, pulling the strings as the hosts raced into a 4-0 lead against their relegation-threatened opponents.

Di Maria even got the party started by slipping a superb through ball into Mbappe’s path for the opening goal, before later turning provider for Neymar to extend PSG’s advantage.

But the truly beautiful moment came when Di Maria found the back of the net himself and it certainly felt fitting that it came in a manner typical of his general footballing mantra.

Despite being presented with an open goal in the penalty area to put PSG 5-0 up, the former Real Madrid star took his time to mug off the defender and goalkeeper before converting with aplomb.

Be sure to check out his farewell goal down below because the scenes in Paris became so emotional that the departing Di Maria couldn’t hold back the tears.
