Devastation as mum-of-two, 22, dies after suddenly collapsing at home

A mum has recalled the final heartbreaking conversation she had with her daughter before she died of a sudden asthma attack.

Amy Greenwood was only 22 when her fiancé Keagan Boylan found her unconscious and not breathing at their home after hearing a thud. Immediately commencing CPR, family and paramedics were called and Amy was rushed to Wigan Infirmary in October last year.

Despite CPR and ventilation, the tough decision was made to turn off her life support the next day. Amy had just moved into the new home with Keagan and her two children, and was looking forward to getting married in June this year, LancsLive reports.

Now, one year on from Amy's tragic death, her family are determined to ensure her name continues to be talked about as they raise awareness of the dangers of asthma.

Ahead of the anniversary, the family will be holding a charity ball at Lancashire Manor Hotel on Saturday, October 14, with all money raised going to Asthma + Lung UK.

Mum Joanne told the Liverpool Echo: "She was just a 22 year old looking forward to the rest of her life. The past 12 months we've missed her in so many ways. We spoke multiple times a day.

"Friends of hers have had children and I know she would be the first one to tell me things. I've also realised how loved she was by everybody."
