A woman was assessed at the scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service. Further details on her condition are not yet known.

Emergency services remained at the scene for a number of hours on Tuesday with fire crews taking around two hours to eventually put out the flames.
