Details of Sheffield United's dressing room inquest revealed as warning served for Blackpool trip
Billy Sharp says the players held a dressing room inquest following their 4-1 defeat to Coventry on Saturday and is warning his team-mates they cannot reproduce that type of performance again.
The Blades head to Blackpool tomorrow looking to put that defeat behind them and return to winning ways against a side who also has an eye on a top six finish.
The Tangerines have won three on the bounce and are not out of the play-off picture just yet.
Neil Critchley's men maybe 12th but they are just six points behind sixth-placed United and a victory for the hosts will keep their dream alive.
Sharp says they have spoken about what went wrong at the CBS Arena and insists 'it can't happen again' with only 10 games in the season remaining.
"We have spoken about it, what we have gone through, what we didn't do and it can't happen again," Sharp explained.
"We went 1-0 up away from home, did the hard part and then lost control of the game and our individual battles and it led to a performance that wasn't acceptable.
"We have spoken about that and there were words said after the game and the beauty about football is there is another game in two days' time, which is going to be another incredibly hard game, but one we can put right and keep ourselves in the play-offs.
"That's where we got a little bit lucky with results elsewhere going for us.
"It made things a lot tighter and it's one of the tightest play-off races for years. It's exciting, but we need to make sure we get back on track and get a performance and more importantly a result.
"It can happen, we just need to make sure that if we are going to get where we want to be this season it doesn't happen again in the last 10 games.
