Details of Brianna Ghey's funeral in Warrington confirmed

The details for the funeral of teenager Brianna Ghey, who was stabbed to death at a park in Warrington, have been confirmed.

Brianna, 16, from Birchwood in Warrington, was found with fatal stab wounds on a path in Culcheth Linear Park at shortly after 3pm on Saturday, February 11. Two teenagers, aged 15, have been charged with her murder, with a trial scheduled to begin at Liverpool Crown Court in July.

Now details of Brianna's funeral have been shared via a post on social media, with the teenager set to be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 15, reports CheshireLive. The post states that the dress code for the funeral is pink.

It says that the service is to take place at St Elphins Parish Church in Warrington at 2.45pm on March 15. It also states that parking has been made available at Sainsbury's.

A post about the funeral shared by Chester Pride said: "Funeral arrangements have been made for beautiful Brianna, people are welcome to attend. Please be advised that large crowds are expected and people wishing to attend are encouraged to proudly wear Pink."

In a tribute to Brianna, her family said she was a "much-loved" daughter, granddaughter, and sister. The statement continued: “She was a larger-than-life character who would leave a lasting impression on all that met her. Brianna was beautiful, witty and hilarious. Brianna was strong, fearless and one of a kind.

“The loss of her young life has left a massive hole in our family, and we know that the teachers and her friends who were involved in her life will feel the same.”
