Desperate Erling Haaland in Rangers fitness push as Dortmund superstar flies in 'miracle healer'

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has turned to his trusted "miracle healer" in a bid to be back for next week's clash with Rangers.

The 21-year-old is regarded by many as the world's next footballing superstar but he remains a doubt to be fit for the first leg of the Europa League playoff clash in Germany.

Haaland has been forced into a break over "muscular problems", after previously missing a several games earlier in 2022.

But the Norway international has turned to trusted John Haddad Haaland, who has flown in from Lebanon to help his No.1 client, according to Bild.

The Barcelona and Real Madrid target almost certainly won't feature in Sunday's trip to Union Berlin, however, he is hopeful over a recovery ahead of the visit of the Premiership champions.

Rangers boss Gio van Bronckhorst is aiming to spring a surprise against Dortmund and knows the absence of Haaland will be a major boost.

The forward boasts a formidable goal record with his current club and has netted 80 goals in 79 appearances since joining from Red Bull Salzburg.
