Derby County star in fresh transfer link as Clowes opens up

Birmingham City are the latest club reportedly interested in signing midfielder Jason Knight.

The Rams academy graduate has entered the final year of his contract at Pride Park upon progressing through the ranks and making his senior debut in 2019. He played the full 90 minutes in the side's win over Oxford United in the League One opener.

Blues head coach John Eustace is said to be an admirer of the 21-year-old from coaching him at international level as Republic of Ireland's assistant manager. But the Championship side are not alone in the chase for Knight's signature, with Burnley also credited with an interest.

Derby County fans have responded to Birmingham City's interest in signing midfielder Jason Knight.

Blues have reportedly emerged as the latest Championship side to express an interest in the 21-year-old who has entered the final year of his contract at Pride Park. City's officials however, are battling for Knight's signature against Burnley.

Speaking about his future, Knight previously said: "I’ve played my part, and I played a lot of games. I was happy in that aspect, but what the future holds, I don’t know. I’ve got a year left, so we’ll see what happens.
