Deontay Wilder vs troll: Bronze Bomber makes alarming admission about viral clip
Deontay Wilder has confessed in a recent podcast appearance that he had planned to kill a notorious internet troll back in 2014.
The incident took place at a Los Angeles boxing gym, where The Bronze Bomber went to confront a troll, named Charlie Zelenoff, after he abused himself and his daughter online.
It is also worth mentioning that as well as sending threats to the former world heavyweight champion’s daughter, he made racist comments towards Wilder himself.
Zelenoff even signed a legal waiver to say that he would not sue Wilder for any damages, as he was beaten around the aforementioned gym.
Wilder, now 36, has bared his heart on this dark time in life eight years later, stating had it not been for the presence of his cameraman, he would’ve shot and killed Zelenoff.
Speaking on the Pivot Podcast, Wilder said: “I really went there to kill him, to shoot him to be honest.
“And the Devil got in me at one point of time because we were in some alleys and my voice changed, cuz was there with me, I brought cuz with me too.
“One point in time my whole demeanour about myself changed, I was like, ‘Come in this alley.’
“I knew what I was gonna do, even cuz will tell you. My whole demeanour, my face changed because I knew what my capabilities were.
“But I knew I couldn’t do it because my cameraman was one of my good friends and I had a vision of him snitching on us and I would’ve had to shoot him too.
“I told him, I said, ‘I couldn’t do it, because I would’ve had to shoot you too. Because I saw you telling on us.’
