Deontay Wilder re-assesses Tyson Fury 'cheating' claims amid Anthony Joshua talks

Deontay Wilder has once again claimed that Tyson Fury cheated in his wins over him during their trilogy.

The two shared the ring in three separate bouts, with Fury winning the final two after an epic draw in 2018. In that bout, Fury was dropped twice, the second time looking like he'd be out for the count after Wilder landing a looping overhand right to drop him. But Fury was able to get back on his feet to beat the count.

Wilder first accused Fury of cheating after their second fight, which the Gypsy King won via seventh round stoppage.

Wilder claimed Fury's gloves had been amended so that he had an egg-weight shaped item inside his gloves, which he used to inflict more damage on the Bronze Bomber.

In a video posted on social media, he said: "I saw in the first fight when Ricky Hatton was pulling down your gloves to put your fist in the improper position. You tried the same method the second time but this time you scratched flesh out of my ears which caused them to bleed.

"It's impossible for a brand new 10oz glove to bend, to keep a smushed-in form or to have loose space. I highly believe you had something hard in your glove, something the size and the shape of an egg-weight. It's the reason why the side of my face swelled up in an egg-weight form. And it left a dent in my face as well."

Now, almost three years later, Wilder has doubled down on those comments but said he would not take any further action such as appeal to the authorities.
