Delta Airlines flight performed dramatic U-turn before horror Toronto airport crash map shows

A Delta Airlines flight met with disaster as it crashed upon arrival at Toronto Pearson International Airport earlier today, leaving fifteen injured. The aircraft, captured on a FlightRadar24 map, was observed making a dramatic U-turn before its descent.

Social media has been flooded with harrowing footage of the plane overturned on the tarmac, encircled by emergency services, and another video showing smoke rising from the wreckage.

The doomed Delta 4819 had been en route from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Toronto when it took an unexpected detour over Brampton towards Markham, then sharply turned back towards the airport. Following the crash, the airport confirmed the incident in a statement: "Toronto Pearson is aware of an incident upon landing involving a Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis," and "Emergency teams are responding. All passengers and crew are accounted for."

Toronto paramedics have reported at least fifteen people sustained injuries. A passenger, John Nelson, captured the aftermath in a Facebook video, saying: "We just landed... Our plane crashed... It's upside down. The fire department is on-site."

He described the evacuation amid smoke, noting that "most people appear to be okay", reports the Mirror.
