Delmas Rally promises non-stop action as battle for SA championship heats up

Delmas plays host to the ninth and 10th rounds of the 2022 South African National Rally Championship (NRC). The Mpumalanga town will again entertain with its rally-ready gravel roads and the unique challenge it poses to competitors.

Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa is looking to keep its lead crew within contention for the season's glory. Though the Starlet rally car had teething problems early in the season, it's been in phenomenal shape, lifting Guy Botterill and co-driver Simon Vacy-Lyle into the championship battle.

A good result will see Botterill/Vacy-Lyle close the points gap even more as the final two rounds of the season lie waiting.

"We're confident that our rally Starlet is well-prepared for the upcoming event," says Botterill. "The terrain is also somewhat easier than what we've faced thus far in the season, and we have every reason to be confident."

The Delmas Rally runs from 7-8 October, with Rounds 9 and 10 taking place on each date using similar stages.
