Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians, Women's Premier League Highlights: Jemimah Rodrigues, Jess Jonassen Shine As Delhi Capitals Beat Mumbai Indians

DC vs MI, WPL 2024 Highlights:Jemimah Rodrigues and skipper Meg Lanning slammed entertaining fifties as Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians by 29 runs in a top-of-the-table Women's Premier League (WPL) clash. Delhi Capitals posted 192/4 with Lanning giving the team a fine start, with her 38-ball 53 (6x4, 2x6). Down the order, Jemimah smashed a 33-ball 69 not out (8x4, 3x6) to propel them to 192/4. In reply, Mumbai Indians managed 163/8 with Jess Jonassen returning with 3/21, while Marizanne Kapp bagged 2/37. Amanjot Kaur was Mumbai's top-scorer with her 27-ball 42. (Live Scorecard)

We are back for the chase! The Umpires are out in the middle. The fielders are scattered to take their positions. Yastika Bhatia will be opening with Hayley Matthews for Mumbai. Marizanne Kapp gets the job to start with the new ball!

... THE RUN CHASE ...

On the other hand, it was a disappointing inning for Mumbai. The bowlers were pretty expensive since the initial overs of the match and the story was nothing different at the death overs as well. They were getting their break out in the middle but they were not capitalizing on that to keep the pressure on the new batters. The fielding of this side was also a mixed bag. They were pretty decent on ground fielding but missed a couple of catches throughout the inning. Shabnim Ismail, Saika Ishaque, Pooja Vastrakar, and Hayley Matthews picked up one wicket each by the end of the inning. But Mumbai has the talent in their batting unit to chase this huge total, as it is all on their shoulder to bring the match home. They will like to be careful holding their wickets in the powerplay, but at the same time put maximum pressure on the opposition's bowler. Join us in a bit for the chase!
