Defender Babes, Safety Shooters, others on course as Prudent Energy Handball Tourney enters day nine

Defender Babes, Benue Queens, Rima Queens, Bendel Dynamos, Safety Shooters, Police Machine, D: Defenders and Kano Pillars, yesterday, boosted their chances on day eight of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League Phase One. The championship is held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

In the women’s classification, Benue Queens defeated Plateau Peacocks 23 to 21, Adorable Angels lost 23 to 24, Defender Babes mauled Seasider Babes 36 to 27, while Bendel Dynamos walked over Kada Queens.

Safety Shooters overpowered Rima Strikers 35 to 20 to challenge for the leadership spot, Benue Buffaloes lost 16 to17 to Police Machine, Owena Kings succumbed to the superior skills of D: Defenders 27 to 35, while the defending champions, Kano Pillars, walked over Kada Stars to remain on top of the men’s table.

Today’s matches will begin with Kada Queens taking on Rima Queens, Benue Queens battling with Defenders Babes, Edo Dynamos against Safety Babes, Seasiders Babes trading tackles against Adorable Angels and Imo Grasshoppers will battle Plateau Peacocks in the women’s cadre.

In the men’s matches, Kano Pillars have a date with Tojemarine Academy, Benue Buffaloes are against D Defenders, Lagos Seasiders will confront Safety Shooters, Niger United are against Rima Strikers, Confluence Stars are pitted against Owena Kings, while Kada Stars will meet Police Machine in the last tie.
