Dedevbo praises ‘gallant’ Flamingos despite defeat by U.S.

Nigeria‘s women’s U-20 team’s former coach,  Peter Dedevbo, has described as “fantastic” the performance of the country’s U-17 side, the Flamingos, who lost their quarterfinal game 0-2 to the United States  at the weekend.

In the 64th minute, Captain Taiwo Afolabi snatched the ball from dithering defenders, only to see her shot parried out for a corner. Fuller could have doubled USA’s advantage in the 71st minute, but saw
