Declan Rice sets out his plans for the future amid Manchester United transfer interest

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has set his sights on enjoying a trophy-laden career, amid Manchester United's interest in his signature.

United, as reported by the Manchester Evening News back in September, have pinpointed Rice as their number one transfer target to strengthen their holding midfield options ahead of this summer's transfer window.

The Reds have been long-term admirers of the 23-year-old and his progress with West Ham and England in the past 12 months or so has only increased their fondness for his talents and potential.

Valued at around the £100million mark by the Hammers, United know that they will have to part with a substantially-sized transfer fee to stand any chance of securing Rice's signature this forthcoming summer, even though their need for a new defensive-minded midfielder has never been stronger.

With speculation concerning his future continuing to mount, Rice has outlined his ambitions for the coming years, highlighting how he wants his career to be dominated by winning silverware.

"I think the main one for me, and I have always said it, is that I don't want to have a career where I've not won nothing," Rice told The Overlap, speaking to former United defender Gary Neville.

"I have grown up as a kid and seen all these top players win the big trophies, like yourself [Neville], who won the Premier League so many times and the Champions League.

"Me as a football fan, and also as a player, I want to win the best stuff. I want to win the Premier League - I want to lift that trophy.

"I also want to win the Champions League. I want to win the FA Cup and the League Cup, even stuff with England. I want to win it all.
