Dean Smith sends Liverpool warning as Norwich prepare for Anfield trip
Norwich City boss Dean Smith believes his side can cause Liverpool problems this weekend and insists the club cannot afford to to view the game as a free hit.
The two sides meet at Anfield on Saturday as Jurgen Klopp ’s side get back on home turf following their 2-0 away win against Inter Milan on Wednesday, the Reds’ seventh consecutive win in all competitions.
Norwich, meanwhile, were handed a 4-0 defeat by Manchester City last time out and face the daunting task of facing the league’s two top teams back-to-back, while sitting 18th in the table.
Despite the odds being stacked against the Canaries, Smith is optimistic about his side's chances - but admits that Liverpool will be “very difficult to stop” if Norwich can’t cut out the errors in their game.
