Dealer hid cocaine in a coffee tin - then splurged his ill-gotten gains on a static caravan in Blackpool

A dealer from Wigan was rumbled after police searched his Mercedes Benz and found two burner phones linked to drug dealing and a coffee tin containing cocaine.

Martin Bradshaw, 32, of Ashbourne Avenue, Aspull, has been jailed after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, driving without insurance, possession with intent to supply a class A controlled drug and facilitating the acquisition/possession of criminal property.

A hearing at Bolton Crown Court heard how Bradshaw first came to the attention of police after officers witnessed him driving erratically in his Mercedes Benz vehicle in the Scholes area.

When police attempted to stop Bradshaw on June 5, 2020, he accelerated his car and was able to flee from officers.

The vehicle was later spotted parked up on Higher Lane in Aspull before being seized by police.

Due to intelligence linking the vehicle to the supply of controlled drugs, officers later forced entry into the vehicle and seized bank cards and a coffee tin containing cocaine.

Two burner phones, which contained details linking to drug supply, were also seized.

On June 7, Bradshaw attended Wigan Police Station and was subsequently arrested.

It was discovered that Bradshaw had purchased a static caravan in Blackpool using money likely gained from the supply of drugs.

The caravan and the Mercedes were both seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

A Proceeds of Crime Act hearing has been set for June 15, 2022.

Bradshaw was jailed for three years and six months.

He has also been disqualified from driving for three years and nine months.

Police Constable John O'Donnell, of GMP's Wigan District Tasking Team, said: "Bradshaw's reckless and dangerous
