Davie steps up to BSS Cup with JDF Racing

Adon Davie steps up to the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship in 2023 continuing his partnership with JDF Racing.

The winner of the penultimate Ducati Tri-Options race of 2022, and former Junior Supersport and British Talent Cup rider, Davie is set to continue on Ducati machinery as he contests eight rounds of the coming season as part of the new look Supersport Cup.

“I am really looking forward to stepping up to the Supersport Cup in 2023 with JDF Racing,” Davie confirmed on Thursday’s announcement. “With the Ducati Tri-Options series being cancelled at the end of last year I have kind of been forced to move up earlier than planned so the aim this year is to continue to learn and develop my riding.

“I will be entered in the Supersport Cup so won’t do all of the rounds but I will still be on track with all of the riders in British Supersport so there’s going to be so much to learn from the former British Champions and world championship riders.

“I am delighted to be remaining with JDF Racing - without them I wouldn’t even be at BSB. They are like my second family and I can’t thank them enough for their continued support. The atmosphere in the team is great and they do everything they can off track which helps me when I’m on track. This was certainly the case at Brands Hatch last year where I was able to win by seventeen seconds.

“The mandatory move to slicks will be interesting for me. I am keen to see how they feel but it’s put a squeeze on an already tight budget. The one cool thing is that you get to pick the eight rounds you contest within the Supersport Cup, so it’s certainly going to add a new dynamic as not everyone will race at the same rounds.”
