David Watson dreaming of Ajax Euro date as Kilmarnock star tells fans news that is music to the ears

David Watson is eyeing a dream date with Ajax as he prepares to step onto planet football's biggest stage.

And the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year is adamant he wants to stay at Kilmarnock for as long as he can with Europe's platform providing his next Rugby Park progression. Watson’s outstanding ascent landed him the individual accolade from his peers. The 19-year-old has been a revelation since bursting onto the scene under boss Derek McInnes and his all-action approach has made him a stand-out performer.

Watson is adding big goals to his repertoire and, naturally, the teenager’s terrific form has attracted the attention of scouts. However, he’s perfectly happy where he is building his career under McInnes and key club mentors such as Rory McKenzie. With a Killie contract in place until 2026, the midfielder has full focus on the job.

Watson doesn’t know where his career will take him in the future, but his immediate targets in Ayrshire are clear with Europe an exhilarating boost. McInnes’ men have guaranteed Europe with a secured top-five finish and the superkid can’t wait for a taste for a continent.
