David Moyes tells Manchester United the 'minimum' they must pay for West Ham star Declan Rice

West Ham manager David Moyes has reaffirmed his stance on Declan Rice amid interest from Manchester United, claiming the England midfielder is not for sale but is valued at more than £150m.

The Hammers have established themselves as contenders for European football under Moyes - who was sacked by United eight years ago - with Rice integral to their midfield. The 23-year-old's stock has continued to rise in recent seasons and United remain interested as they look to bolster their midfield.

The Manchester Evening News understands United will continue their quest to sign Rice this summer. However, Moyes is having none of it.

"The first thing to say is that he is not for sale," Moyes said, via football.london. "If you are interested, well, it will be north of that because £100m was cheap last summer.

"£150m just now would be minimum but he is not for sale. What I do know is that it means there are only certain clubs that could even consider it.

“I look at it a bit differently (to Crystal Palace's stance with Wilfried Zaha). I look at what Tottenham did with Harry Kane albeit in a different way.

"They said 'no, there is a price and if someone wants to pay the price, then we would probably do it. If they don’t then he's not going anywhere'. That’s it, they have kept him.

"You have just mentioned two of England’s best players. Harry Kane, he got off to a bit of a slow start like a few England players after the Euros. But he is a top player. He proved that against us a couple of weeks ago.
