David Martindale 'considered' for Fleetwood as Celtic icon Scott Brown faces rival for League One hot seat

Livingston boss David Martindale is reportedly among the contenders to become manager at Fleetwood Town.

Town are on the hunt for a long-term option with former Celtic player Stephen Crainey currently in temporary charge until the end of the campaign, having taken over from Simon Grayson.

With the club retaining their League One status, The Daily Mail report that the Lions' boss Martindale is another name "under discussion" by the Fleetwood board.

However, the Scottish Premiership side state there has been no approach for the boss so far.

Scott Brown is also reportedly in the running for the hot seat as he looks to take his first steps into management.
