David Graham 'resigns' as Rangers communications chief after two and a half years

Rangers' head of communications David Graham has reportedly resigned.

Graham, who served as the club's head of media relations exits the club after almost two-and-a-half years at the helm. The former DUP councillor replaced Jim Traynor in the role. The Northern Irishman enjoyed a close working relationship with those across both playing and non-playing staff amid his wide-ranging brief But supporters weren't without issues over the club's communications on a host of talking points.

Fans were left miffed over the decision to sign up for the Sydney Super Cup, as well as the resulting withdrawal. Others were vocal in the wake of the club's panned "small rump" response to fan groups during their thrilling run to Seville. And deputy chairman John Bennett told supporters a fortnight ago the club's fans deserve better communication from within Ibrox. A club source told the Express: ‘We can confirm David Graham has resigned from his position of Communications Director at Rangers.’
