Daryl Dike reveals what his favourite moment at Barnsley was

The American is currently at West Brom, but has been reminiscing about his time with the Tykes from last season.

Dike was with Barnsley on loan for the second half of the season, where he scored nine goals from 19 appearances.

Answering fan questions on his Tiktok, the 21-year old revealed he has three favourite moments from his stint with the Championship club.

From playing against Premier League opposition, to playing in front of fans, Dike clearly has a fondness for his time under Valerien Ismael last season.

“There’s actually kind of like a few that were pretty decent,” said Dike, via Tiktok.

“I think I’ll be boring: the first one was when we played Chelsea.

“One: it was my first match and two: it was the club I’ve always supported so being able to be on a pitch and lose the ball to [N’golo] Kante is pretty exciting.

“Second [best moment] was play-offs cause it was the first time I’d ever actually had fans at a game in England.

“So playing in front of fans was also sick.

“Also the goal against Birmingham because it was a decent goal!”

Dike has had a less enjoyable time with the Baggies since joining the Hawthorns in January.

Since his arrival, Ismael has been sacked and he himself has been out of action since January having only made one start for the team.

West Brom’s play-off chances have collapsed in his absence, with the Baggies now 12th in the Championship table.

It has gone much worse for Barnsley since his departure back to Orlando City from MLS.

The Tykes are 22nd in the second division and eight points from safety with only six games left to play this season.

Dike enjoyed a very successful stint with Barnsley last season so it is no surprise that he has fond memories of his time there.

It hasn’t worked
