Darts Premier League line-up complete as Luke Littler decision made following sensational World Championship run

The 2024 Darts Premier League line-up has been revealed - with man of the moment Luke Littler receiving his dream call.

Four players had already automatically qualified for the Premier League through the PDC Order of Merit. They included current holder Michael Van Gerwen, new World Champion Luke Humphries, last year's World Champion Michael Smith and World Matchplay Champion Nathan Aspinall. Former two-time Alexandra Palace winner Peter Wright, "Voltage" Rob Cross, and Welsh hero Gerwyn Price also join them.

And the one name on everybody’s lips is 16-year-old Littler. The teen sensation fell short 7-4 during a pulsating World Darts Championship Final against Humphries on Wednesday night but his remarkable form has earned him a top 32 rankings place. And he revealed that he was told he'd made the Premier League cut just moments after coming off the stage at the Ally Pally. Following the tournament finale Humphries backed Littler to be a success in the Premier League despite concerns over his age.

He told Sky Sports: “I'm not just saying this because it will please everyone, but Luke [Littler] has been an unbelievable talent. Not just about the dartboard, he has been fantastic with all the media that has come about with him and he took the defeat so well. You will never see another down-to-earth 16-year-old kid like him who is just something else.

"I really hope he's in the Premier League because, if he don't want to play in it fair enough, but I think he'd be a pleasure to play alongside this year. He's one of the best players in the world, there is no doubt about that.”

And the youngster has been named in among the eight men chosen by the Professional Darts Corporation.
