Darts champion Gerwyn Price called out by Leicester City star

Leicester City star James Maddison has jokingly called out a former world champion after spending an evening honing his darts skills.

After his stunning goal in the win over Brentford on Sunday – and after being overlooked by Gareth Southgate for a place in the England – Maddison has taken the chance to enjoy one of his hobbies by enjoying an evening at darts activity bar "Flight Club". The Foxes playmaker was accompanied by model girlfriend Kennedy Alexa, who he presumably tested out his own skills against.

But it appeared to give the 25-year-old a little too much confidence as he took to social media to call out former world champion Gerwyn Price. In a clip uploaded to his Instagram story, Maddison recorded the glitzy lights and mahogany furniture of the darts bar, before turning the camera on himself.

He then jokingly took aim at Welsh star and current world number two Price. Maddison captioned the story: “Gezzy I’m ready for you pal… @gerwynpriceiceman180.”

Maddison’s calling out of The Iceman could not have come at a more opportune time for the playmaker. Price was recently left unable to throw a dart due to a swollen hand, which forced him to pull out of the Premier League of Darts earlier this month.
