Darren Moore issues Josh Windass update after Sheffield Wednesday’s draw with Gillingham

Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore has revealed that Josh Windass is currently on track to make his return to action from injury in the club’s clash with Cheltenham Town later this month.

Windass has experienced a frustrating 2021/22 campaign as his game-time has been limited due to issues with injury.

“He was due to come back today but another seven days in him will be good.

“He’s a massive player for us.”

The Verdict

This update is a significant boost for Wednesday as Windass could potentially go on to play a major role in their push for a top-six finish if he is able to maintain his fitness.
