Dara O'Shea nears Premier League return with Burnley move
Republic of Ireland international Dara O'Shea is set for a return to the Premier League, with Burnley agreeing a deal with West Brom to sign the Dubliner.
O'Shea is due to have a medical later today, ahead of linking up with fellow Ireland internationals Josh Cullen and Micheal Obafemi at Turf Moor.
Vincent Kompany's side recently returned to the Premier League after one season in the Championship and are looking to strengthen, with O'Shea, one of West Brom's most saleable assets as the club is no longer in receipt of parachue payments, identified as a player that can add to their defence.
The 24-year-old made over 100 appearances for the Baggies in all competitions and has also captained the side.
O'Shea missed the last nine games of West Brom's Championship campaign last season due to a knee injury, though he recovered to make the Republic of Ireland for their recent Euro 2024 qualifiers and featured in Monday's 3-0 win over Gibraltar.
